Since joining Taylor Consulting Group, Mr. Branch has been
involved in a wide variety of financial advisory and business
valuation engagements. Those engagements include fairness
opinions for planned public company acquisitions, investigative
accounting for Fortune 100 companies, as well as valuations
of closely held businesses, employee stock option plans (ESOPS),
and public company intangible assets for SFAS 142 impairment
testing.
Mr. Branch has worked with clients in numerous industries
with an emphasis in the food and beverage, healthcare (including
life sciences), technology services, marketing and advertising,
and nonprofit industries. He also utilizes his engineering
background as a specialist in the Cost Segmentation Services
and Capital Budgeting Services areas.
Prior to joining TCG, Mr. Branch assisted on several acquisitions
at the John H. Harland Company, an $850 million technology
and printing corporation, where his responsibilities included
financial due diligence and valuation modeling. His other
duties included competitor and industry research, company-wide
revenue tracking, and analyzing company-wide telecommunications
contract alternatives.
Before attending business school, Dan spent five years as
an officer in the U.S. Navy, where he specialized in communication
technology and nuclear power. While serving as a Surface Warfare
Officer, he concurrently managed divisions of up to 85 personnel
on various warships and was consistently ranked as the top
performer in his peer group. He is a Six Sigma Green Belt
and is currently pursuing the Accredited Senior Appraiser
(ASA) designation from the American Society of Appraisers.
