Mr. Olsen is responsible for financial analysis and corporate advisory in the areas of equity and debt valuations, financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategy, and budgeting. He specializes his practice in healthcare and healthcare IT and has worked with a variety of clients that have ranged from billion-dollar providers to HIT startups. As a Director, he also aids in business development, marketing, and strategic planning for the firm. Prior to TCG, Mr. Olsen gained experience through positions in the investment banking and consumer products industries.
Mr. Olsen has published numerous articles in top industry journals like the Journal of Accountancy and Business Valuation Review. He holds the Accredited Senior Appraiser designation from the American Society of Appraisers and belongs to a number of healthcare associations like HFMA, HIMSS, and TAG Health Society (Board of Advisors).
Outside of his professional commitments, Mr. Olsen is active in the community and has held various board and leadership positions with the Vinings Rotary Club, United Way of Metro Atlanta, Keep Atlanta Beautiful, and University of Virginia Alumni Association. In 2006, he founded a nonprofit, Kilifi Kids, aimed at improving the health of thousands in rural Kenya, with the latest campaign using cell phones to improve health outcomes for 25,000.
